Magic Masala Makhana
1.5 cup Makhana
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Maggi Masala-E-Magic /homemade Magic Masala
Chaat
1/4 red onion, diced small
1/2 tomato, diced small
1/4 green bell pepper, diced small
Cilantro Chutney
Tamarind Chutney
Beet Chutney (pureed beets + a squeeze of lemon)
Yogurt Mix (greek yogurt + a dash of salt, sugar and cumin)
Sev
Squeeze of Lemon
Chaat Masala, to garnish
Pomegranate, to garnish
Chopped Cilantro, to garnish
Instructions
- Makhana: In a pan over medium heat, add the oil and the makhana. Toss occasionally until they brown a little and get crunchy. Remove from heat and toss with magic masala until well combined.
- Chaat: Assemble starting with the chutneys at the bottom for a festive touch OR as you would a regular chaat – the makhana, topped with veggies and chutneys. Finish with sev, pomegranate arils and cilantro. Don’t forget that squeeze of lemon and chaat masala, and enjoy!
